Eforcity 10FT HDMI to DVI GOLD DIGITAL CABLE for HDTV PLASMA DVD

Customer Review: Great cable, great price.
Don't fall for the hype of cable sellers. DVI, HDMI are digital signals. There is no "quality" issue, either you get a signal or you don't. This cable is a winner because of the price, can't beat it.
Customer Review: A reasonably priced cable that works
The signal is good and the construction seems solid. I don't need the marketing hype, I just need functionality. This product delivers.

TVs changed just a little bit, the only major questions were the size of the screen and whether you want a portable or a floor model. Three high definition TVs come out all at the same time together with variety of new trends and peripherals that you can use at home. All of a sudden, the questions were complicated; 1080 or 720p? Flat screen or Projection?

After checking out screen quality and space available, most buyers chose to buy Plasma or Liquid Crystal Display TVs. However, the problem is that as technology continuously advances, it's hard to see differences between them. Which one will you choose?

Functional, Sturdy, and Cheaper: LCD TVs

Most smaller flat screen TVs are LCD TVs, they are below 40 inches. Their technology has been existing for decades already, it was used in many flat electronics like watches, but recently the cost and size have come down to make the LCD TV technology practical for big home applications, computer monitors and TV sets.

A liquid crystal display TV has very thin screen which is not more than 2 inches and could be mounted easily on the wall. While LCDs were originally thought to have limited size, it still goes up to 108 inches today, and limit has probably not been reached yet. It makes them competitive even at the high-end market. They now have resolutions that are as good as those of the Plasma TVs.

Some drawbacks of LCD TVs are "dead pixel", not-so-black-blacks and burn-in problems. Newer LCDs are not prone to burn-ins, however if you leave an image for extended periods, light ghosting could be permanent. Damage or pressure to screen area could give "dead pixel" which is a spot where pixel won't respond. The No. 1 problem is the not-so-black-blacks issue because LCDs are backlit so black isn't quite black.

Plasma TVs

They are displayed with the LCD Tvs, you may find them to be similar, however, their technologies are very different. Plasma Tvs are the most distinct because of incredible dense blacks, they're very dark that they almost glow. Experts agree that the plasmas produce the most realistic of images among modern TVs. However, they are expensive and are found in just 40" up. They're mountable, more delicate than LCD TVs.

You have to be sure that you'll make a decision between LCD and Plasma with enough information I mind. These two technologies are excellent, but understanding the respective weak and strong points could prevent you to make the wrong choice.
